Panna cotta with amarena cherries

PRODUCTS USED FOR THIS RECIPE
INGREDIENTS FOR 4 PEOPLE
500ml fresh cream
4 egg whites
50g caster sugar
1 vanilla pod
1 jar of amarena cherries in syrup
PREPARATION
1.Pour 200ml of fresh cream into the saucepan,add the sugar and the vanilla pod, sliced along its length. Warm over a low heat until the sugar has dissolved, filter it through a strainer into a bowl, let it cool, then add the remainder of the cream.
2. Beat the egg whites with an electric mixer until stiff. Fold them gently into the cream. Pour a finger of the mixture into a plum cake mold (about 1l capacity). Using tongs, line a central row of amarena cherries, then fill with the rest of the mixture.
3. Place the mould in a baking tray filled with 2cm of water. Bake at 150°C for about 1 h. Take out of the oven, allow to cool and then transfer into a fridge overnight. Turn out the panna cotta and decorate with syrup and amarena cherries.
